Mark earned his Mortgage Broker’s license in 1989, in South Florida. In 1991, Mark moved to Northeast Florida. It was certainly a different lifestyle and environment from South Florida. But it did not take very long to realize that he had made a great choice and that there would be plenty of opportunities here for those who worked hard and were accountable to their customers.
After a few years in the construction Industry, Mark returned to the lending industry and became a top producer for Countrywide, Wells Fargo, and a co-founder of Gibraltar Mortgage for the Prudential-Network Realty franchise here in Jacksonville. By 2005, Mark had his own company called the Sherman Mortgage Group. After the crash of 2007, Mark worked primarily in the Property and Casualty Insurance business and re-entered the Mortgage Industry in 2015.

Mark was born in French West Africa. He is the son of a retired State Department Diplomat. He speaks fluent Spanish, is a graduate of Florida State University. He and his wife Sharon live in Jacksonville.
