Mark earned his Mortgage Broker’s license in 1989, during the Savings and Loan Crisis. It was not a great time to enter the world of Mortgage Lending. In 1991, Mark moved to Jacksonville. Northeast Florida was certainly a different lifestyle and environment from South Florida. But it did not take very long to realize that he had made a great choice and that there would be plenty of opportunities here for those who worked hard and were accountable to their customers. It was also a small town in which it did not take long to make friends and advance one’s career. So after a 3 year stint in the building supply industry and working with a Custom Homebuilder for a number of years thereafter, Mark re-entered the Mortgage Industry again in 1996 with Dolphin Home Mortgage in Ponte Vedra Beach.
Soon after, Mark became a top producer for Countrywide, Wells Fargo and a co-founder of Gibraltar Mortgage for the Prudential Network Realty franchise. By 2005, Mark had his own company Sherman Mortgage Group. After the crash of 2007, Mark worked primarily in the Property and Casualty Insurance business and re-entered the Mortgage Industry in 2015.
